my dad has never been in a car accident or anything of the sort. 4 months ago we got a 2005 dodge ram rumble bee. i was really confident about my driving. but today i was exiting on a freeway and the car in front of me stepped on the brake real hard and i had no choice but to swerve outside the lane. i didnt hit anything else but the bottom of the front bumper kinda got wrecked and bent. i didnt hit the car in front of me or anyone else and i gained control of the truck and slowly got back on the lane. so if my dad reports it to the insurance how much will it go up?? he told me not to speak of this to anyone and he was gonna say it was him that it happened to. please help. what if i replace the bumper and dont report it? should i even report it?

my 2009 vauxhall insignia was hit from behind sitting at a car park space in a supermarket,there is substantial amount of damage to the right hand arch right above the back wheel,the back bumper is also broken,it was hit that hard it was pushed onto the car park space in front of it,i believe what saved it from any further damage was the driver of the other car hit the wheel of my car which i guess cushioned the blow.i have went today and got estimates for the repair which is in the region of 2500 pounds though could be more as they have to put it on some sort of machine to see if the wheel alignment is of,the repair shops say what they will do is cut the arch out and put a new arch in and spray it but no matter what its never going to be the same.the reason they do it like this is because the whole back of my car runs to the front without any splits. Im not happy about this being done like this as this car today is worth around 10,000 pounds which i pay for and dont want it patched up,i would prefer if the other guys insurance wrote it off so that i can get an original car which i first had,is there anyway i can get this to be wrote of and claim it of the guys insurance,i have heard of depreciation money if my car has been hit but this is still not going to compensate me for my car being patched up. thanks

I need to get car insurance but I feel like its a waste of money. I am going to pay them monthly and if I happen to get into an accident I will still have to pay them something. Hi all, Im 17 a VW enthusiast and just passed my driving test. I'm not saying im going to be any different to the statistics but im not a racer at all, lack of experience is still an issue though Guys preimiems are double girls and yet i think its possible to get insurance ive heard of people who have just wonder from which company? Im after insurance for a VW type 1 1300 beetle or a VW split screen camper for a 17 year old. As anyone who has tried getting a quote for a 17 year old boy its going to be 800 for cheap 1L car, 900 for a 1.25L Fiesta or 1,400 for a 1.4L Zetec. So im after insurance for less than 1000 has anyone manged it for a classic car? and where? The RAC quoted 1,100 and then went to ask about it and then they refused had several quote for a 1.6L beetle (due to age and slowness) of 1,400 but would like under a 1000

Recently I just acquired my G2. I am an almost-17 year old male, and I wanted to try to clear up a few questions about insurance before going to get some quotes. Firstly, would it be possible for me to have my own separate policy? With my own car - that's how my dad wants it apparently... I know it would be expensive..but I would probably end up choosing only liability coverage. Secondly, would it be possible to somehow prove to the insurance company that I am more responsible than the average stereotypical 17 year old male in hopes of lowering insurance? For example, can high school marks play a factor? I've heard about something like this, although I don't know if it applies to our provincial policies. I know the other factors, such as having a 4 door used sedan, in-class driving course etc. can also help lower the cost. All help is appreciated, thanks!

OK so i was hit from behind the insurance company are going to write the car off and give me 830 i paid 950 for the car its nothing special just a cheap first car with low mileage. The insurance company said they won't recover the car and i can do with it what i will. The damage is fixable I'm thinking 150 -200 of damage just wondered what everybody would do ? When I wiped out on my bike I tried to make a claim after I got home from the hospital. Little did I know that my insurance coverage had ended two days before the accident. Now my question is, will my health insurance pay for my medical bills from the accident or will they deny me because of my lack of motorcycle insurance at the time of the accident? When I found out about my lack of coverage, I immediately paid and got up to date but they told me that those two days when my coverage ended will not be covered... am I gonna get hit with all the medical bills?
